Upon first hearing the name Children 18:3, I had high hopes for some good music. I was definitely not disappointed when I heard this album! The music ranges from Punk, to hardcore, to melodious choruses. A few of the songs have electric guitar that almost sounds a little fuzzy, but other than that the music is great, and when put with some great vocal and lyrics I can’t turn this album off! Children 18:3′s title album is one of those that takes a LOT of listening to to get old. The album varies to fit a lot of musical tastes, yet does not go too far in any direction to make a bunch of songs unpalatable to the listener. As a hardcore/heavy music fan, I liked this album, yet it was not so hard that fans of the softer rock would dislike it. My personal favorite song off the album was “You Know We’re All So Fond Of Dying”. I think Children 18:3 has a good shot at becoming a very popular Christian rock band in the next few years. Overall, this is a great album to add to your collection.
