Chris Taylor:Take Me Anywhere
| Take Me Anywhere, the debut release from Destin, Florida’s own Chris Taylor takes you on a musical roller coaster from start to finish. This album strikes you at the core of what and who you are. This album is the one that you can put in after a long, hard day and just relax and unwind. You cannot help but love this album! It has a piano-rock feel, much like that of Leeland or Coldplay. Taylor’s voice has a soulful sound that gives life to the lyrics that he sings. There is no doubt that this album deserves every accolade that it receives. The album opens with “Turn Me Around”, a song that is a plea for the face of God and for him to show us his love so that we can love like he does, and do it profoundly. It also gives us an example of how we should feel about our relationship with Him, that we should want “everything YOU are”. This message flows directly into the second track, “Made For You”. All of who we are is made for the joy of our Father in heaven. We are His, and His alone. His deep love is often a mystery to us, but we have forever to dive deep into it. “Take Me Anywhere” is my favorite track on the album. It is about how we should be willing to go where ever He will lead us, just like Paul was. The overall theme of this album is the love of God and about our response to that love. Even though “Take Me Anywhere” is my favorite, that wasn’t a choice that was easily made. “Symphony”,”Lift Me Up”,and “Found” are just a few of the other songs that are noteworthy on this album. But in reality, there isn’t a dull, slow, or boring spot on this album. This album needs to be in your collection! There is no better way to describe it! You will never hear more emotionally driven lyrics, beautifully written music, or a more humble heart as you find in Chris Taylor’s “Take Me Anywhere”
