Consistent. Hopeful. Faithful. From the origin of their name, to the lyrics in every song, “Lamps” has a constant theme – all that is found in Christ. Truly music that is from the heart and directed to the hearts of every listener. A beat the creates the deisire to dance and move while celebrating that the God of the universe loves us individually.
In this debut album, it is clear that the message is Christ and the undying love He has for each of us. “We All Need” is just that, it is a compilation of words describing that even in the darkest of times ‘we all need hope – the hope to live for something more’. “Emptiness” bring to mind what Paul might have been thinking when he wrote much of the New Testament. The internal struggle in following Christ while fighting our fleshly desires.
Every song is easy to understand and delivers a true message of strength. This album is going to be hard to put down. The sound screams similarities to that of U2. “Lamps” and the eject button will not be aquainted easily.
