Third Day:Revelation
| Third Day has revealed yet another reason why they are Grammy and Dove Award winners: “Revelation,” their latest studio project. Since the band’s inception in 1991, Third Day (name taken from the prophecy that Christ shall rise again from the grave on the third day) has been faithful in expressing their faith in God through albums from “Long Time Forgotten” to “Revelation.” This compilation of thirteen songs features the talented Lacey Mosley (Run To You & Born Again,) songs of identity (Who I Am,) songs of love (Let Me Love You, I Will Always Be True, and Give Love,) and songs of direction (Slow Down(featuring Chris Daughtry), Revelation, Other Side(featuring Robert Randolph), & Ready.)
While “Caught Up In Yourself” and “Take It All” are songs of dying to self and letting go; nevertheless, it is the song which declares: “When you feel like you’re alone in your sadness, and it seems like no one in this whole world cares, and you want to get away from the madness, you just ‘Call My Name’ and I’ll be there,” that has been sweeping the airways. The powerful and un-mistakable vocal talent of Mac Powell on this song’s ending note is sure to make Call My Name an unforgettable single of the year.
