Two Urgent Updates from Two different bands
High Flight Society
Alright, we aren’t gonna dance around this. We need a new van BAAAD!!! Our van is creepin on up in mileage and slowly falling apart. We break down often these days, which leads to money for repairs, late for shows, etc. We have some tours coming up in a couple months that will be taking us all the way out to California and back, and Im not sure that our van can make it.
Also, we don’t have anywhere near the money to get even a cheap used van. So, we need you guys’ help! In the past our fans have been very supportive and pretty much the coolest people ever, and we know we can count on you guys now.
We aren’t asking for you to donate a million dollars or anything. We only ask that you give what you can (if you can), don’t feel any obligation. Any amount will help us. From 50 cents to 1000 dollars!
We are conversing what we can do to give back to the people who do give any larger amounts. Dunno what that will be yet but we will for sure do something. I’ll have more on that soon!
All you have to do is copy and paste the link below and follow the directions to help us out! You can use your own paypal account OR a credit/debit card to donate!

Ok, so the first few weeks of tour have been great! We had some awesome shows w/ Abandon Kansas, Pompeii, as well as The Rocketboys. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us, and for those of you who missed out, keep looking out for more dates later this summer!
Now onto the bad news…
Here’s the deal. Our last show was in Austin Texas, and we had planned on driving all the way to Pensacola Florida through the night, hanging out on the beach and chillin on our 3 day break before making the trek up to our east coast leg of the tour.
At about 4 in the morning, most of us woke up to the van’s engine shaking and sputtering; almost jumping out of the van. After a $500 tow to the nearest town with a mechanic that could take a look at it, we were told that we need an entirely NEW engine put into our van. Not only does it cost us a HUGE amount of money, (that we can’t afford) but it’s going to take at least a week to 2 weeks before we can drive again, therefore forcing us to cancel the east coast dates of our tour.
Thanks to everyone who was planning on coming out to see us, and we apologize that we can’t be there to play. We will DEFINITELY reschedule though, so don’t worry.
We are currently in Shreveport, Louisiana staying at a friend’s house, and could use any help/support that you can give. We are trying to hop on a few shows here in Shreveport to raise some money to help pay for our van, so if you are in the area, come out to the show tonight! If not, and you feel like helping us get back on our feet, there’s a donation link on our myspace page that you can use to send us a few bucks if you want. We truly appreciate everyone’s support.
In the meantime, come say hi! we’d love to chat!
Thanks guys,
Matt, Weaver At The Loom
